Your Family - You are foremost responsible for the many sacrifices necessary to raise children as God is calling you to do. We honor your role and the many challenges it entails. Once you have prayerfully and earnestly scrutinized your written monthly budget such that your family’s needs are clearly differentiated from their wants and you are truly doing your best, it is time to invite your extended family to join in your mission to raise children in the wisdom and admonition of Christ (Colossians 3:16). They love you and care for your family’s well-being. Ask them to partner with you in this project with eternal meaning.
Douglasville Seventh-day Adventist Church - Between 25-30% of the cost of educating your child is being paid by sacrifices of faithful members of the Douglasville SDA Church via the church budget, as well as direct offerings to the school. These church members earnestly believe in the difference in eternity that Christian education makes! The cost you see in your child’s tuition rate is already reduced by the amount the hosting church is paying. The members feel passionate about giving all families an opportunity to receive a quality Christian education in western Metro Atlanta. Remember to thank God for their assistance.
Your Church Family - Just as your biological family loves and cares for your child’s well-being, your local church family cares about their success, as well. Nearly everyone in your church is motivated by a desire to have their life here on earth have a significant impact for the kingdom of God. Be bold in asking them to help make it possible for your child to attend a Seventh-day Adventist Christian school instead of lesser alternatives. Jesus has asked us to live as a body of believers, sharing our resources and considering one another our brothers and sisters. If you and your extended family have done what they can do to help, you should have confidence in asking members of the church where you and your children actively attend to help in a meaningful way, as well. Not everyone who wants to help will necessarily have the funds immediately available to do so. However, ask others until you have a series of helpers such as Moses had when his arms were lifted in battle to do something special for God.
Georgia Promise Scholarship - If your child is currently assigned to one of the public schools on this list in our area, apply by July 31, 2025 to potentially receive up to 100% funding to attend Douglasville Adventist School! https://mygeorgiapromise.org/ This new scholarship from the State of Georgia is designed to give more quality educational options to families.

Georgia’s 529 Plan - Avoid paying any federal or Georgia income taxes on money you spend on your child’s tuition payments at Douglasville Adventist School! Open a 529 plan and contribute up to $8,000/yr to it (for joint filers), or up to $4,000/yr (for individual filers), then immediately draw some or all of it to pay for K-12 tuition at private and religious schools! The maximum 529 plan withdrawal for K-12 tuition purposes in a given year is $10,000.
Once your child enters college, use the funds for tuition at any accredited private or public college or university, community college, technical college, graduate school and professional school across the U.S.
